Halloween Crafts for Kids
Halloween Witch Face Craft
Give this witch craft a try. It is simple to create and you can get creative with it!

Materials
- Cardstock or construction paper in black, orange, green, purple, or any other color of your choosing
- Googly eyes
- Black marker
- Scissors
- Yarn
- Tape
- Glue
How to Make It
- To make the witch’s face cut a green paper in half width-wise.
- Next, cut about 10 long pieces of yarn for her hair.
- Add glue along the sides of the witch’s face and glue down the yarn.
- Use the black paper to make a witch hat. Cut out a rectangle that is slightly wider than her head. Cut a large triangle for the top part of her hat. Glue the pieces together.
- Glue the hat to the top of the witch’s head.
- To create the band on the hat, pick another color and cut a rectangle. Glue it on the hat. If the rectangle is too long, just trim it. You can add a buckle in another color. Cut out a square, gently fold it in half, and cut out the center.
- Glue on the googly eyes.
- Cut out a nose, and glue it on the face.
- Draw a mouth with the black marker of Sharpie.
Feel free to add in more details and really make it your own! You could draw a spider web in white crayon on the witch hat. Add little gem stickers, pompoms, or whatever else your creative heart desires!
Pumpkin Handprint Craft
Hand crafts a just adorable! This pumpkin handprint craft is no exception and makes for a sweet Halloween craft for young kids.

Materials
- Cardstock or construction paper in orange and green
- Googly eyes
- Pencil
- Black marker
- Scissors
- Glue
How to Make It
- Trace your child’s hand with the pencil on orange paper.
- Cut it out.
- With the green paper cut out a stem.
- Glue it to the paper hand.
- Glue on the googly eyes.
- Next, draw a smile.
Monster Hand Craft

Materials
- Cardstock or construction paper in any color
- Googly eyes
- Pencil
- Black marker
- Scissors
- Glue
How to Make It
- Trace your child’s hand with the pencil on paper.
- Cut it out.
- Glue on the googly eyes. Kids can use as many or as few as they like. Mix and match sizes!
- Next, draw a mouth in marker.
- Kids can add teeth, horns, or anything else they can think up.
Witch Broomstick Craft
Here is another cute Halloween craft for kids that is simple to create.

Materials
- Cardstock or construction paper in yellow and brown
- Yellow yarn
- Black marker
- Scissors
- White Glue
- Optional: glue spreader
How to Make It
- To make the wooden handle cut out a long rectangle from the brown paper. Round off the edges on the top part of the handle.
- Using the yellow paper, draw and cut out the shape of the base of the broomstick. We made a bell shape.
- Glue the base of the broom on the end of the handle.
- Cut out yellow pieces of yarn that are long enough to cover the base of the broom. You will need enough pieces to cover the base of the broom.
- Spread white glue over the base of the broom.
- Place the yellow pieces over the glue.
- Trim any yarn that is too long.
Paper Plate Pumpkin Craft
This paper plate craft is great to do at home or in the classroom. Any size plate will work well too!

Materials
- Paper plate
- Cardstock or construction paper in brown and green
- Orange paint (tempera or paint sticks)
- Paintbrush
- Scissors
- Glue
How to Make It
- Paint the paper plate orange.
- While the paint dries, cut out a stem from the brown paper.
- Cut out a leaf from the green paper.
- Glue the leaf to the stem.
- When the paint is dry, glue the base of the stem to the top of the paper plate.
Pumpkin Stamping Craft
A cute and simple activity for toddlers and preschool and kindergarten-aged kids to do.

Materials
- Cardstock
- Paint tray
- Orange paint (tempera)
- Apple
- Knife
- Optional: fork
How to Make It
- Cut the apple in half.
- If kids have an aversion to getting paint on their fingers, jab a fork through the apple’s skin. The fork serves as a handle.
- Place the flesh side of the apple into the paint.
- Stamp the apple on the paper and repeat.
- When the paint is dry, kids can add stems and vines.
Bat Craft
This bat craft is another quick Halloween craft to try with kids.

Materials
- Cardstock or construction paper in black and white
- Googly eyes
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Pencil
How to Make It
- On the black paper draw a circle for the bat head.
- Next, draw two bat wings and two triangle-shaped ears.
- On the white paper, draw two small triangles for teeth.
- Cut out the head, wings, ears, and teeth.
- Glue the wings on either side of the head.
- Glue the ears on the top of the head.
- Center and glue on the googly eyes.
- Finally, glue on the teeth.
Spider Web Craft
This spider and spider web craft is a great way to incorporate fine motor skill practice. Kids really work their finger and hand muscles as they push and pull the yarn through the holes.

Materials
- Paper plate
- Black paint (tempera)
- Paintbrush
- Scissors
- Single hole puncher
- Yarn in white and orange
- Orange cardstock or construction paper
- Goggly eyes
- Scotch tape
How to Make It
- Paint the paper plate black.
- While the paint dries, create the spider. On the orange paper, draw a circle for the head and a larger circle for the body.
- Glue the head and the body together.
- Glue on the eyes.
- Next, cut four pieces of orange yarn to create the legs.
- Center and tape the pieces of yarn under the spider’s body so it looks like there are four legs on either side.
- When the paint is dry, cut out the center of the paper plate.
- Use the single-hole punch to make holes around the inner circle.
- Thread the white yarn through the holes to create a spider web. Tape the end of the yarn to the back of the paper plate.
- Glue the spider to the paper plate.
