Make teaching the letters of the alphabet fun and interactive with these free Alphabet Mats. Preschool and kindergarten learners will explore the alphabet and practice letter names, letter sounds, letter formation, and fine motor skills with these easy-to-use letter mats.

To use these with your learners name the letter and the letter sound. Then students will identify the uppercase and lowercase letters. Students can then finger trace the letters or use small manipulatives such as pompoms or mini erasers to fill the letters on the mat.

Prep is quick and easy. Simply print the pages you need, grab some small manipulatives, and you’ve got a fun and engaging alphabet activity!

You may laminate these letter mats for durability. If you choose not to laminate them your learners can also fill in the letters with paint, markers, glitter, stickers, etc.

Students work on:

  • letter identification
  • letter formation
  • letter sounds
  • fine motor skills
